چکیده

Front propagation is studied in several reaction–diffusion models based on the Oregonator model of the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction. Each system involves autocatalysis (X→2X), termination (2X→0) and consumption of the autocatalyst (X→0, X1Y→0), augmented with interconversion (X↔R) between the autocatalyst X and a rapidly diffusing unreactive species R. We investigate the dependence of the front velocity on the diffusion coefficients of X and R, the interconversion rates, and the other kinetic parameters, when the system possesses either one or two stable steady states. © 2002 American Institute of Physics. @DOI: 10.1063/1.1511728#

Convection in chemical fronts with quadratic and cubic autocatalysis.

Convection in chemical fronts enhances the speed and determines the curvature of the front. Convection is due to density gradients across the front. Fronts propagating in narrow vertical tubes do not exhibit convection, while convection develops in tubes of larger diameter. The transition to convection is determined not only by the tube diameter, but also by the type of chemical reaction. We de...

Chirality Selection Models in a Closed System

Recently the first chemical systems which show the amplification of enantiomeric excess (ee) was found. Inspired by these experiments, we propose a few chemical reaction models in a closed system. The reactions consist of autocatalytic production of chiral molecules and their decomposition processes. By means of flow diagrams in the phase space of enatiometric concentrations, chiral symmetry br...

Prediction model of limestone rock mass quality, using seismic wave velocity (Case study: Sarvak formation in Bakhtiari dam site)

The purpose of this study was to develop a model for the estimation of rock mass classification of Sarvak limestone in the Bakhtiari dam site, south-west (SW) Iran. Q system had been used as the starting point for the rock mass classification. This method was modified for sedimentary rock mass which is known as Qsrm. Because Qsrm considers a wide range of rock mass propert...

Relativistic Stellar Models with Quadratic Equation of State

In this paper, we have obtained and presented new relativistic stellar configurations considering an anisotropic fluid distribution with a charge distribution and a gravitational potential Z(x) that depends on an adjustable parameter. The quadratic equation of state based on Feroze and Siddiqui viewpoint is used for the matter distribution. The new solutions can be written in terms of elementar...

Comparison of Kullback-Leibler, Hellinger and LINEX with Quadratic Loss Function in Bayesian Dynamic Linear Models: Forecasting of Real Price of Oil

In this paper we intend to examine the application of Kullback-Leibler, Hellinger and LINEX loss function in Dynamic Linear Model using the real price of oil for 106 years of data from 1913 to 2018 concerning the asymmetric problem in filtering and forecasting. We use DLM form of the basic Hoteling Model under Quadratic loss function, Kullback-Leibler, Hellinger and LINEX trying to address the ...
